Daniel Karlin is Professor of English Literature at University College London. He has also edited The Poems of Robert Browning (Co-edited by John Woolford, 1991), Kipling's The Jungle Books (1989) for Penguin Twentieth-Century Classics and The Penguin Book of Victorian Verse (1997).
