Tim Wynne-Jones has twice won the Governor General's Award for Children's Literature: in 1993, for his collection of short stories Some of the Kinder Planets; and in 1995, for his novel The Maestro, which was also named to the honour list of the International Board on Books for Young People. He has won more than a dozen international awards for both his children's and adult literature, including the prestigious Boston Globe/Horn Book Award and the Vicky Metcalf Body of Work Award. His books have been translated into six languages. Tim Wynne-Jones lives near Perth, Ontario, with his wife and three teenage children.
