Marilyn Stokstad, teacher, art historian, museum curator, and lecturer, has been a leader in her field for decades. She is Judith Harris Murphy Distinguished Professor of Art History at The University of Kansas, Lawrence, where she has served in various academic and administrative leadership capacities, including at the University’s Spencer Museum of Art. She is consultant to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri. Stokstad has served as president of The College Art Association and the International Center of Medieval Art. Her special field is medieval art.
