Kim Wilkins was born in London and grew up in a seaside town in Queensland. She had a short-lived career as a bass player and singer in the nineties, but has now devoted her life to the pursuit of writing good scary stories. She lives in Brisbane with her two black cats, a mad opera singer and her little boy.
Her first adult novel The Infernal was published in 1997. It won the Aurealis Award for best horror and fantasy novel. With the publication of Grimoire, The Resurrectionists, Angel of Ruin, The Autumn Castle, and Giants of the Frost, Kim has gained a reputation as Australia's leading dark fantasy writer.
