Academic Desk Copy Requests
Penguin Group (USA) Inc. will supply 1 free instructor's desk copy for every 20 copies of an adopted title ordered through the bookstore. Telephone requests are not accepted. Requests for donations must be submitted in writing on company or organization letterhead. Mention in your request the types of books you are looking for and the purpose for which they will be used. Note: We do not donate specific titles, nor do we donate books that are going to be used in fundraisers.

Author Biographies and Websites
To locate an author biography or an author's official website address, enter the author's name in the Search area of our website; a listing of titles by that author will appear. Click on any title, and on the left side of the page you will see "About [author name]." Click here to see the author's biography. If the author has an official website, a link will be found on the left side of the author bio page that reads "Author Web Site."
If you do not find "About [author name]" or "Author Web Site" for the author of your choice, we do not have biographical information or an official website available for that author and are unable to supply additional information.

Due to the high volume of manuscripts received, most Penguin Group (USA) Inc. imprints do not normally accept unsolicited manuscripts.
Neither the corporation nor its imprints assume responsibility for any unsolicited manuscripts which we may receive. As such, it is recommended that sole original copies of any manuscript not be submitted, as the corporation is not responsible for the return of any manuscript (whether sent electronically or by mail), nor do we guarantee a response. Further, in receiving a submission, we do not assume any duty not to publish a book based on a similar idea, concept or story.
The preferred and standard method for having manuscripts considered for publication by a major publisher is to submit them through an established literary agent. We cannot recommend an agent for your work; however, we can suggest such guides as Literary Market Place for agent listings and their contact information. There are also online resources for writers interested in learning more about the process of submitting manuscripts to agents and publishers. A good place to start is the Authors Guild.
