Anyone who has interacted with a dog knows they have a tremendous power to warm our hearts and ease our minds. Inspired by that power, Rachel McPherson started The Good Dog Foundation to promote animal-assisted therapy. In this episode of Tarcher Talks, Rachel sits down with Tarcher Executive Editor Sara Carder to talk about her work with the Foundation and her new book, Every Dog Has A Gift, a collection of true stories about dogs who bring hope and healing into our lives.
She also talks with Claire Vaccaro, who discusses the amazing progress made by her autistic son Milo after he started working with a service dog. In our final segment, Meredith Phebus shares how Every Dog Has A Gift inspired her to get her dog certified as a therapy animal.
