In this special spotlight feature on the prolific artist and writer, we catch up with him in the Penguin offices and chat with him about his recent pop-up success, Brava, Strega Nona! Tomie dePaola has been published for nearly 40 years; over 6 million copies of his books have sold worldwide; and his books have been published in over 15 different countries.
Tomie has received virtually every significant recognition in the children's book world, including the Caldecott Honor Award for Strega Nona and the Newbery Honor Award for 26 Fairmount Avenue. Tomie's newest book, Strega Nona's Harvest, is in stores now.
